Being in the facial recognition space we see a lot of news come through every week. We decided to try and compile a list of some of the best and most interesting news for our customers sprinkled in with what we are working on as well.
Our Favorite Story of the Week
Live projected makeup?
Face detection is being used to project makeup onto a live person during a model photoshoot. This is probably a long way off from impacting the likes of Loreal and Revlon, but the same 3D projection technology is already being used for dramatic effects in stadiums and arenas around the world.
Excerpt:
"Make-up can be a pain on photo shoots, can’t it? Well, imagine if you didn’t need make-up on a shoot to alter the look of a model’s skin. Now stop imagining, because it’s a reality, thanks to this interesting real-time face tracking and projection mapping technology."

Face recognition used to catch a welfare thief
