Booo!! Happy almost Halloween to everyone! A California-based company has released a selfie app that uses facial recognition to juxtapose the image of your face with spooky Halloween makeup. For all those last-minute costume seekers, you can now get the spooky look without going through all the work.

The Museum of Modern Art unearths a century-old rare silent film with all black cast and identifies its actors through a manual facial recognition process by matching the faces with pictures from old news articles.

Dubai police gets the tech upgrade that matches their Lamborghinis
Dubai police will start wearing Google Glass with custom facial recognition software to look for wanted criminals. The software will work by syncing with the department’s face database and alerting officers if they encounter a wanted person.

Android’s latest version, Lollipop has an improved facial recognition feature called “Trusted Face” that verifies a user’s face to unlock their phone. Compared to the face unlock feature on Android 4.0, Trusted Face is noted to be considerably faster since now the camera automatically looks for a face when you wake up your phone.
