BBC Worldwide will use emotion analysis and facial expression tracking to monitor how viewers feel when they watch trailers for new programs. The new research is part of an effort to produce TV content that will resonate with audiences in other countries. Team Kairos is curious to know what this research means for Season 4 of Sherlock.

How big of a problem are fake passports?
A study of the Australian customs office staff revealed a 15% human error at matching the person with the passport photo they are displaying. With near 10,000 people attempting to enter Europe with false documents in 2013 alone, turns out fake passports are not just in the movies.

Speaking of human error in identifying faces, let us never forget this incident from last year when a nine year old passed through Turkish customs with her toy passport that identified her as a unicorn. Let’s just hope they’ve tightened the airport security since then.
