Being in the facial recognition space we see a lot of news come through every week. We decided to try and compile a list of some of the best and most interesting news for our customers sprinkled in with what we are working on as well.
Our Favorite Story of the Week
Curious on the impact of facial recognition software on selfies?
You can now take a course on "selfies". This week's class focuses on the impact of facial detection and recognition on selfies. It may seem silly, but the folks at SelfieCity have built a beautiful visualization tool to analyze the facial detection data taken from selfies submitted to their site.
Check out the tool here and information on taking the class here
Excerpt:
"We may create our selfies with a human audience in minds, but our images are also increasingly read by non-humans. Facebook and other sites use facial recognition software and biometrics to find photos of faces and determine who they depict."
